PURPOSE

The measure consists of two sub-measures:

• Aquaculture
• Fish processing

The main purpose of this measure is to improve the competitiveness of the sector of fish processing and the quality of products. The goal is to introduce environmentally friendly technology for aquaculture, to increase the production by modernizing the capacities, to improve competitiveness and participation on the fish processing market, to improve the marketing of fish and fishery products, to promote wider offer and the consumption of fish and to achieve that fish processing is in compliance with the EU foodstuffs’ standards.

The subject of the measure 3.7. Aquaculture, processing and marketing are as follows:

• investments into fish farms where fish are bred suitable for human consumption, and
• investments into plants for fish processing.

These investments can be new constructions, renewals and/or the purchase of equipment.

BENEFICIARIES

Final recipients are legal persons with their domicile in the Republic of Slovenia or entrepreneurs with their residence in the Republic of Slovenia. Final recipient needs to be registered for the activities of aquaculture and fish processing respectively.

HOW TO OBTAIN PAYMENTS

Co-financing is provided on the basis of an application and fulfilment of the conditions in the invitation to tender.
