Holder of the measure: Rural Development Section

Grants and credit facilities intended to improve a difficult social situation on a farm in the event of damage on a farm caused by natural disaster or exceptional phenomenon and in case of death, disability or more than 6-month unfitness of a holder or a member of the holding to do the work on a farm are obtained on the basis of an invitation to tender published by the AAMRD and the Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Regional Development and Preservation of the Settlement of Slovene Rural Areas (JSRSS). Aid is provided for the damage caused in the period determined in the invitation to tender.

PURPOSE

Remediation of farms – aid to compensate damage caused by natural disasters or exceptional phenomena

The purpose of the aid is to solve difficult social situation of farms in case of the following events:

• death, above 50% disability or more than 6-month unfitness for work of the holder or a member of a farm, meaning full working power;
• damage on a farm caused by a natural disaster or exceptional phenomenon. A natural disaster or exceptional phenomenon is an unpredictable event caused by nature. It is an event that cannot be prevented. Unpredictable event is also an outbreak of disease in animals and plants in cases where the compensation for damage is not regulated by other rules or when due to the disease present on a farm, trade in animals is banned and/or only slaughter of animals is allowed.

The allocation of the aid takes two forms:

• single aid in the event of death, disability or more than 6-month unfitness to do the work on a farm if this person represents full working power on a farm; thus for the working process on the farm this means a major disturbance,
• as aid to surmount the difficulties caused by natural disasters or exceptional phenomena.

BENEFICIARIES

Farmers in the territory of Slovenia are entitled to this aid.

HOW TO OBTAIN FUNDS

A holder of an agricultural holding submits an application to obtain grants and credit facilities respectively as laid down in the invitation to tender and in compliance with the tender documentation. The invitation to tender is published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Slovenia and on the website of the AAMRD.

The application (form with annexes) needs to be submitted in a number of copies determined in the invitation to tender by registered mail to the address: Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Regional Development and Preservation of the Settlement of Slovene Rural Areas, Škrabčev trg 9/a, 1310 Ribnica. Written applications need to be submitted in sealed envelopes and be marked in compliance with the invitation to tender.

Co-financing is granted on the basis of the application and fulfilment of conditions in the invitation to tender.
