PURPOSE OF THE MEASURE

Maintaining and balancing the areas with vineyards and ensuring marketing economic elements of grape production.

BENEFICIARIES

The beneficiaries of the support for restructuring of vineyards are producers that

• are entered in the Grape and Wine Producers Register and are holders of an agricultural holding;
• replant a vineyard of min. 0.1 ha;
• cultivate, together with the area that is subject to overhaul, min. 0.85 ha of vineyards, or 0.6 ha of vineyards in the wine-growing districts Kras, Dolenjska, Bela krajina, Prekmurje and wine-growing sub-district Haloze;
• are re-structuring a vineyard for which a decree has been issued permitting the overhaul on the basis of a right of vineyard replanting, or on the basis of the right of vineyard planting from the reserve of rights.

TIME LIMITS FOR THE APPLICATION SUBMISSION

Between 1 October and 15 december in the wine year when the restructuring is launched producers must submit an APPLICATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF RE-STRUCTURING (Form 6, Official Gazette of RS No. 77/2008) to the Agency of the RS for Agricultural Markets and Rural Development, p.p. 189, 1001 Ljubljana (hereinafter referred to as: AAMRD). It is recommended that the application and potential amendments be sent by registered mail.

Application for the support of re-structuring may also be submitted for re-structuring performed in previous year if the support thereof has not been allocated yet.

If two separate parts of the existing vineyard are being restructured, for which there are separate GERKs in overhaul entered in the register (hereinafter referred to as: GERK in overhaul), then separate applications for support of re-structuring should be prepared for each part of the vineyard.

A producer is allowed to withdraw an application for support of re-structuring up to 31 March of the same wine year.

Following application issue, a STATEMENT ON JOINING THE SUPPORT TO RE-STRUCTURING  (Form 6a, Official Gazette of RS No. 77/2008) should be sent to the AAMRD between 1 April and 15 June.

THE AMOUNT OF SUPPORT

Costs of restructuring determined on the basis of an application and the rules adopted by the minister × coefficient set by the AAMRD annually on the basis of available funds and adequate applications.
