PURPOSE OF THE MEASURE

The aid is paid for the storage of Zbrinc and Ementalec cheese with the purpose to prevent seasonal imbalance in the market of cheese produced in the European Union and from cow milk. The storage of Zbrinc and Ementalec cheese is possible from 1 June 2005 until 30 September 2005, and removal from storage is possible from 1 October 2005 until 31 March 2006. Cheeses must be min. 10 days old at the time of storage.

BENEFICIARIES

Legal and natural persons are entitled to aid payment who have entered into contract with the Agency on the aid for storage of cheese.

The amount of aid

Amount of aid is calculated from amounts for costs defined in the currently valid regulation. 

• 0.10 EUR per tonne per day of contractual storage for storage costs;
• for financial costs per day of contractual storage: 0.28 EUR per tonne for long-keeping cheese.
