PURPOSE OF MEASURE

 

Early retirement substantially improves the age structure on farms. By paying annuity to transferors the economic situation of agricultural holdings included in the measure is improved.

 

BENEFICIARIES

 

Farmers from the entire Slovenia are eligible to the payment of an annuity, notwithstanding the type of production, providing they meet the set conditions.

 

Legislation providing the conditions for the implementation of the early retirement measure has not been adopted yet. On 4 May 2007, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food forwarded to the European Commission the amended draft of the Rural Development Programme of RS (RDP) for the period 2007-2013.
