Recent years have brought more and more extreme weather conditions. Major damage in agriculture is caused by frost, drought, storms with hail, thunderstorms, floods and maybug. Therefore, the remedy of the consequences of such disasters is of great importance for agriculture as well as for consumers.
TASKS OF THE DEPARTMENT
- Co-operation in preparation of regulations and implementing acts in the field of natural disasters;
- Implementation of administrative functions from the field of natural disasters under the competence of the AAMRD;
- Entry and process of claims for compensation due to natural disasters;
- Co-operation with contracting partners and institutions (communities, Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia, beneficiaries, Institute for Commodity Reserves, Ministry of Finance, etc.) and the establishment of adequate communication connections;
- Implementing procedures of completing the application forms and repeated review of procedures;
- Approval of payments from the field of natural disasters;
- Implementing procedures of administrative controls and controls according to the instructions of the Internal Audit Service within the AAMRD;
- Preparing the analysis of the project for the current budget year and preparing interim reports, reports to the director general, and a final report to the Government of the Republic of Slovenia.
