The AAMRD implements intervention and specific measures in the field of wine-growing and wine production, cereals, sugar and fruit and vegetables.

TASKS OF DEPARTMENT

MEASURES AND PURPOSE

a)     Field of WINE-PRODUCTION

• Support to private storage
• Support for the use of concentrated grape must
• Support to development-promotional activities

b)     Field of RESTRUCTURING OF VINEYARDS

• Approval of annual programmes of re-structuring of vineyard areas
• Support for restructuring of vineyard areas
• Support to permanent abandonment of wine production

c)     Field of SUGAR

• Approval - industrial use of sugar
• Industrial use of sugar

d)     Field of FRUIT and VEGETABLES

• Co-financing of activities from the operational programmes of fruit and vegetables producers’ organisations

e) MILK sector

• Intervention purchase and sale of butter
• Intervention purchase and sale of skimmed milk powder
• Support for the storage butter and/or cream
• Support for the storage of cheese
• Support for the storage of skimmed milk powder
• Support for the production of casein and caseinate from skimmed milk powder
• Support for the use of butter in non-profit organisations
• Support for the use of skimmed milk powder for the production of animal fodder
• Support for the use of cream, butter and concentrated butter in confectionery and bakery industry
• Refund for the supply of milk and certain milk products to educational institutions
• Support for concentrated butter intended for direct use within the Community

b) MEAT sector

• Intervention purchase and sale of bovine meat
• Intervention purchase and sale of pigmeat
• Support for the storage of bovine meat
• Support for the storage of sheepmeat
• Support for the storage of pigmeat

d) SUPPLY OF FOOD FROM INTERVENTION STOCKS

The purpose of the measure is to provide additional aid to socially disadvantaged persons in Slovenia, i.e. food aid in the form of distribution of processed products from intervention stocks.

• Supply of food from intervention stocks for the benefit of the most deprived persons in the Community

e)  EXCEPTIONAL MEASURE PROVIDING SUPPORT TO POULTRY SECTOR DUE TO AVIAN INFLUENZA

The purpose of the measure is to provide support to poultry farmers and processing industry due to loss of income caused by avian influenza.
